Wrapped bronze bushing is ideal for applications where there are high levels of contamination. Their running surface is provided with diamond-shaped lubrication pockets or a self-lubricating hole pattern. The lubrication pockets must be filled with grease when the bearing is installed. The wrapped bronze bearings are produced according to the ISO 3547.

Cusn8 properties Materials

Wrapped bronze bushing is made entirely from phosphor bronze CuSn8. CuSn8 is characterized by the purity of the alloy with only a very low level of impurities. Wrapped bronze bearings are produced from strips that are subsequently wrapped and calibrated.

Lubrication Bearing

Wrapped bronze bearings must be lubricated with grease or oil on installation. A good quality lubricant is essential as it will reduce friction and wear by forming a film between the plain bearing and the shaft. For heavily contaminated applications, we recommend sealing off the bearing. This will protect both the bearing and the lubricant.

Applications of CUSN8 Bronze Bushings

  • CuSn8 material bushing is a testament to the marvel of metallurgical engineering. Its balanced set of properties ensures it remains a preferred choice across industries, from electrical to mechanical, and from automotive to aerospace. Whether it’s the alloy’s strength, wear resistance, or its sliding prowess, CuSn8 continues to be a cornerstone in the world of bronze alloys.

    Applications of CUSN8 Bronze Bushings

CUSN8 bronze bushings find application in various scenarios where robust and durable bearings are required. Some common applications include:

    1. Label Printers: CUSN8 bronze bushings are used in the bearings of label printers. The ability to withstand heavy loads and low running velocities makes them ideal for these precise and repetitive printing machines.
    2. Agricultural Machinery: Bushings in agricultural machinery are often exposed to harsh environments with heavy loads. CUSN8 bronze bushings provide the necessary load-bearing capacity and resistance to wear and corrosion.
    3. Construction Equipment: Construction machinery operates under demanding conditions, requiring reliable and sturdy bearings. CUSN8 bronze bushings ensure smooth movement and prolonged service life in construction equipment.
    4. Engineering Machinery: Engineering machines, such as cranes and excavators, require bearings capable of handling substantial loads and frequent movements. CUSN8 bronze bushings deliver optimal performance in such challenging conditions.
  • Precision bronze bushings made from QSN6.5-0.1 (also known as C51900 or C5191) bronze bearing material are high-quality components used in various applications where precise and reliable performance is essential. Let’s explore the key characteristics and features of precision bronze bushings made from QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 bronze:

    1. Material Composition: QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 is a phosphor bronze alloy with approximately 6.5% tin (Sn) and 0.1% phosphorus (P) content. This composition imparts excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance to the material.
    2. Precision Manufacturing: Precision bronze bushings are manufactured to very tight tolerances, ensuring accurate dimensions and consistent performance. This precision is crucial for proper fit and function within mating components.
    3. High Strength and Durability: QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 bronze offers high tensile strength and good wear resistance, making precision bushings suitable for applications involving heavy loads and repeated stress.
    4. Corrosion Resistance: The phosphor bronze material provides excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, making these bushings ideal for use in marine environments or other applications exposed to moisture and harsh conditions.
    5. Low Friction and Self-Lubricating: The presence of tin in the alloy gives the bushings low friction properties, reducing wear and extending the service life of both the bushing and the mating components. The material also exhibits some self-lubricating characteristics due to the formation of a thin oxide layer on the surface.
    6. Wide Range of Applications: Precision bronze bushings made from QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 bronze find application in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, machinery, and electronics, where reliable and efficient bearings are required.
    7. Machinability: QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 bronze is known for its good machinability, allowing for complex and precise manufacturing of precision bushings.
    8. Electrical Conductivity: Phosphor bronze materials have good electrical conductivity, making them suitable for applications involving electrical contacts or connectors.
    9. Versatility: These precision bronze bushings can be used in both high and low-temperature environments, offering versatility and performance under different conditions.

When selecting precision bronze bushings made from QSN6.5-0.1 C51900 or C5191 bronze, it’s essential to consider the specific requirements of the application, load capacity, operating conditions, and compatibility with mating components. Regular maintenance and proper lubrication will help ensure optimal performance and longevity of the bushings.

  • QSN6.5-0.1, commonly known as Tin Bronze or CuSn6.5P0.1, is a specific type of bronze alloy. When in plate form, it offers various desirable properties that make it suitable for a wide range of applications. Here are some key features of QSN6.5-0.1 Tin Bronze plates:

    1. Tin Content: The alloy contains approximately 6.5% tin (Sn), which contributes to the material’s excellent wear resistance, self-lubricating properties, and corrosion resistance.
    2. Phosphorus Addition: With a small addition of 0.1% phosphorus (P), QSN6.5-0.1 Tin Bronze gains enhanced strength and toughness, improving its overall mechanical properties.
    3. Wear Resistance: Tin Bronze plates are known for their high wear resistance, making them suitable for applications where sliding and friction occur, such as bearings, bushings, and other wear components.
    4. Self-Lubricating Properties: The presence of tin in the alloy results in the formation of a thin tin oxide layer on the surface, acting as a solid lubricant. This property allows for reduced friction and minimized wear during operation.
    5. Corrosion Resistance: Tin Bronze plates exhibit good resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for use in various environments, including marine and mildly aggressive conditions.
    6. High Strength: The combination of tin and phosphorus provides QSN6.5-0.1 Tin Bronze plates with moderate to high mechanical strength, allowing them to withstand significant loads and pressures.
    7. Machinability: Tin Bronze plates are generally easy to machine, enabling precise shaping and forming to meet specific design requirements.
    8. Electrical Conductivity: QSN6.5-0.1 Tin Bronze has good electrical conductivity, making it suitable for electrical contacts, connectors, and other applications requiring good electrical properties.
    9. Versatility: Due to its various beneficial properties, Tin Bronze plates find application in a diverse range of industries, including automotive, marine, aerospace, and general engineering.

Tin Bronze plates are used in numerous applications, ranging from heavy-duty machinery components to delicate electrical contacts. When considering QSN6.5-0.1 Tin Bronze plates for a specific application, factors such as load conditions, environmental exposure, and the need for lubrication should be taken into account to ensure optimal performance and durability.
