The lead in CDA 937 tin bronze acts as a lubricant and contributes to the excellent machinability and good anti-friction properties of this alloy. C93700 has reasonable corrosion resistance in seawater and brine, and good overall wears resistance. Bronze C937 is available as centrifugal cast bar, continuous casting, and sand casting. CDA 937 high lead-tin bronze is ideal for high speed and light-duty applications including crankshafts, washers, bushings, bearings, bearing plates, and pump impellers.
