Wrapped bronze bushing is made of bronze plate with oil pockets or holes. It is a kind of wrapped greased (also sometimes graphite) lubricating bushing bearing. Bronze material normally in CuSn6.5P or CuSn8P, the bronze is made as the particular formulation with high specific and gravity, and on its surface may be incorporated with spherical or diamond shaped indentations or/and oil grooves as required by customers. The products are widely used in construction machinery, agricultural machinery and so on.

Bronze Bushings Materials

Wrapped bronze bearings are made entirely from phosphor bronze CuSn8. CuSn8 is characterized by the purity of the alloy with only a very low level of impurities. Wrapped bronze bearings are produced from strips that are subsequently wrapped and calibrated.

Bronze Bushings Lubrication

Wrapped bronze bearings must be lubricated with grease or oil on installation. A good quality lubricant is essential as it will reduce friction and wear by forming a film between the plain bearing and the shaft. For heavily contaminated applications, we recommend sealing off the bearing. This will protect both the bearing and the lubricant.

Maintenance

090 & 090 bronze series bearings are low-maintenance bronze sliding bearings, primary lubrication is necessary.

Oil or grease lubrication is possible. Due to lubrication diamond pockets lubrication intervals are reduced to a minimum!

Whether grease or oil is used, a good quality lubricant will reduce friction and wear by separating a bronze bushing from its shaft.

• resistant to shock loads and vibrations at slow speeds
• good resistance to corrosive environments
