Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethylene) polymer bushing materials have a common structure, consisting of a steel backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer.

Viiplus composite, self-lubricating bushings are made up of one of two basic compositions:

Description

PTFE lined self-lubricating steel backed bushing  also called DU bushing, dry bushing, DU bearing,teflon bushing,PTFE coated bearing,SF-1 oilless bearing,PTFE liner metal polymer composite bearing and PTFE based plain bearing. This type of DU bush takes PTFE layer as sliding layer which makes products can perform very well under dry condition or oil condition.

This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bushing lining. The steel backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bushing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These PTFE linings offer exceptionally low friction.

WHAT SHOULD BE PAID ATTENTION TO WHEN USING STEEL BACKED BUSHING

Steel backed bushing belongs to the fine parts, so in the use of the complex bearing begged to be very cautious attitude, that is, the use of high-performance bearing, assuming improper use, can not reach the expected performance effect, and easy to make the steel backed bushing damage.Therefore, the use of steel backed bushing should pay attention to the following:

1.adhere to the steel backed bushing and its surrounding environment clean

Even if invisible to the naked eye dust enters the steel backed bushing, it will increase wear, vibration and noise of the steel backed bushing.

2. Be careful when using the device

Strong stamping is not allowed, direct hammering on the steel backed bushing is not allowed, dry bearing is not allowed to pass through the rolling body pressure transfer.

3. Use appropriate and accurate equipment and tools

Use special tools whenever possible, and try to prevent the use of cloth and short fibers and the like.

4.Avoid steel backed bushing corrosion

When taking the steel backed bushing directly by hand, wash the sweat from the hands and apply high quality mineral oil before stopping the operation. In the rainy season and summer, pay special attention to rust prevention.

However, under certain special operating conditions, the steel backed bushing can achieve a better life than the conventional calculation, especially under light loads.These special operating conditions are the appearance damage that may occur when the rolling surfaces (tracks and rolling elements) are effectively separated and restricted by a smooth oil film.In fact, under ideal conditions, the so-called permanent bearing life is possible.
