PTFE Coated Thrust Washers

Description: PTFE Thrust Bearing Bunting Non-Metallic, Self-Lubricating Composite Washer.

Use these bearings for frequent starts and stops in high-load applications. For low friction coefficients, they release a thin layer of an embedded PTFE washer.

Material Base material: Steel

Intermediate layer: Sintered bronze.

Top layer: PTFE or similar

THRUST WASHER ADVANTAGES:

Can be used where no oil can be applied or oil is difficult to be applied.

Low wear, low friction and with long life. Load will spread over a wider area due to the washer material’s elastic nature.

Low stick slip properties ensuring accuracy of machine operation under low sliding speeds.

Low vibration, low noise and non-pollution in operation.

PTFE and Lead filler is transferred to the mating shaft to improve running properties.

Can be used in low hardness of mating shaft, so the shafts processing is easy.

The machine will be compact because of the thin thickness and low weight of the washer.

Electro plating is possible to prevent corrosion.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: PTFE coated thrust washers is widely applied in various sliding motions of different kind of machines, such as textile machines, tobacco machines, hydraulic vehicles, automobiles, agricultural machines and so on.

Washers are an essential component of many mechanical applications. They are used to distribute the load of a fastener over a larger area and to prevent damage to the surface being fastened. When it comes to washers, one of the most critical factors to consider is friction. The higher the friction, the greater the resistance to motion, which can cause wear and tear and increase energy consumption. To combat this, manufacturers have developed washers with low friction coefficients. Among the most popular options are bronze washers with PTFE, steel washers with PTFE, and PTFE-coated steel washers.

Bronze Washers with PTFE

Bronze washers with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) are a type of composite washer that combines the strength and durability of bronze with the low friction properties of PTFE. PTFE is a synthetic fluoropolymer that has excellent non-stick properties, making it an ideal material for reducing friction. Bronze, on the other hand, is a strong and durable metal that can withstand high pressures and temperatures. When these two materials are combined, they create a washer that is not only strong and durable but also has a low friction coefficient. This makes it ideal for outdoor applications where dirt and other contaminants can accumulate.

Steel Composite Washers with PTFE

Steel sliding washers with PTFE are another option for those looking for a low friction washer. These washers are made from steel, which makes them strong and durable, and coated with PTFE to reduce fPTFE bushingriction. Steel ptfe washers with PTFE are ideal for applications where high strength and durability are required, but low friction is also necessary. The PTFE coating ensures that these washers have a low coefficient of friction, making them ideal for outdoor applications where dirt and other contaminants can accumulate.

PTFE-coated Steel Washers

PTFE-coated steel washers are washers made from steel and coated with PTFE. The PTFE coating reduces friction and makes these washers ideal for applications where low friction is required. PTFE-coated steel washers are also durable and can withstand high pressures and temperatures, making them ideal for use in outdoor applications. The coating ensures that these washers will still operate even if there is any dirt or residue from use in the outdoors.

When it comes to washers, choosing the right material and coating is critical to ensure that they perform as required. Bronze washers with PTFE, steel washers with PTFE, and PTFE-coated steel washers are all excellent options for those looking for a low friction washer that has durability and will still operate if there is any dirt or residue from use in the outdoors. Ultimately, the choice will depend on the specific requirements of the application and the environment in which the washer will be used.
